It’s my first tutorial, I hope you like it :) I tried to explain how you can change a background in a picture

- for gimp 2.6 (free graphic-programm, download link in ‘read more’)
- I tried to explain it with many many many pictures
- I hope you like it :)
Okay, first of all you need to know that I don’t use the english-version of gimp, so the words on the pictures are in german. But the arrangement is the same in both versions, and I tried to translate the words :)
If you don’t know gimp: its a graphic-programme like photoshop but it’s for free, you can download it here: http://gimp.en.softonic.com/

so I used this picture

6. it should look like this (with the white/black line around the part that you want to use) :

7. click the right computer-mouse-button and do the following (edit → cut) :

9. after you’ve opened your background, you have to do this (right mouse-click):

(edit → insert as → new layer)
Important: do not choose ‘insert’ it’s ‘insert as’
10. choose this tool:

10. now you can move your object:

11: After you’ve placed your object. Push ‘STRG’ and ‘M’ at the same time and then this should arrive:

12. make sure that you choose the middle option, (and click on the field that is blue in my picture)
13. use this tool… :

14. …and mark the part of the picture that you want
in my example:

15. save your picture ( as ‘yourpicturename.png or .jpg )
